An amazing site! Petra in Jordan

I love to travel and one day I would LOVE to go to the site of Petra!

The massive monastery at Petra... check out the people in the doorway for an idea of scale!

The Treasury

Built without the heavy equipment of today and still awe inspiring!  Discovered in 1812 by Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt .  Johann dressed up as an Arab and convinced his Bedouin guide to take him to the lost city.   Known as the "Rose Red City" -  a name it gets from the wonderful color of the rock from which many of the city’s structures were carved.

You may say what does this have to do with building "my" house?

1- classic architecture will always be in style.
2 - see what can be done when people have vision and desire.. the creation of something beautiful.

In other words, hang in there, your build it will be worth it!

Have a great weekend everyone!
